Market Scope invited 875 US ophthalmologists who are registered on our online survey portal on April 30, 2020 to participate in a part one of a four‐part series of surveys on the impact of COVID‐19 on their medical and surgical practices. There were 123 participants, representing 38 states, and a response rate of 14.1 percent. This survey attracted a diverse group of doctors; sixty‐seven percent of respondents provided cataract surgery, 32 percent provided glaucoma, down to 3 percent who provided cornea treatment. Most of these doctors perform in multiple areas of treatment. All individual responses are kept strictly confidential, and we only report on the aggregate. Market Scope will be executing three additional surveys in an effort to analyze practice and ASC return to work/surgery trends, procedure volume, etc. over the next three months.
